Facility Design

ESP specialises in the design of High Performance Training Facilities. Our unrivalled understanding of the trends in Elite Sports training and preparation, and in creating world leading future-proof facility designs and equipment specifications, will ensure a world class, cutting edge facility for many years. ESP has designed some of the world’s best high performance facilities, including Manchester City Football Club’s new sports complex, England Football training facility at St George’s Park, British Athletics, English Institute of Sport and British Olympic Training Centres.

The Facility Design process offers a hassle free, full project management service, which includes: 1) meetings with project managers, architects, and coaches to identify the clients optimum requirements and equipment needs within the budget available; 2) creating a project brief and a series of layouts and design options; 3) the procurement of optimal equipment, flooring, branding and services to fit the requirements; 4) arranging and managing all logistics; 5) coordinating directly with installation venues on all aspects of the installation; 6) managing any snagging in a seamless manner; 7) ensuring that all parties are constantly updated on progress; 8) signing off on accounts and ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.

ESP’s team of professional athletes, world class coaches, leading sports scientists and sports engineers work closely with architects, managers and coaches to ensure that the correct layout and specifications are fitted from the beginning and to ensure that each facility provides an extremely high quality and optimal environment for High Performance Sport. From an initial brief, ESP develops a series of concepts and proposed layout sketches which are presented to the various parties for consensus. Once the draft designs had been finalised, a final 2D to-scale floor plan is created to provide an accurate representation of the space. Based on the 2D to-scale design, and using a specialised computer assisted drawing software, a 3D rendered image is developed enabling a realistic visual image of the facility prior to signing off on the equipment order and installation.
