The very first state-of-the-art boutique high performance athlete centred gym opened its basement doors this month in the heart of central London and has quickly become one of the most impressive facilities in the city.

Performance Ground, situated on Kingsway Road in Holborn, showcases a scientific integrated approach to athletic performance with world class equipment and services accessible to Londons aspiring athletes. The facility’s strength and conditioning coaches, led by Tristan Baker, focus on high performance athletic training for both top level athletes as well as the general public. At Performance Ground you have access to some of the UK’s best coaching clinics on Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting and Strength & Conditioning.

This athletes haven is the brainchild of Ioanna Karelia, a graduate of Imperial College London and successful entrepreneur. “Our goal was to create London’s very best high performance training facility for not only top athletes but for all Londoners inner athlete. There was no compromise on quality. To be the best I sourced the best”, commented Ioanna. With this in mind Ioanna approached the UK’s leading strength and power equipment supplier, ESP Fitness, who executed the concept and provided their top of the range TOTALPower training equipment which is used and tested by professional and Olympic athletes across the UK.

When you walk through the doors in downtown London you’ll be blown away by the high performance equipment. Including Olympic Lifting Platforms,  Deadlift Platforms, Power Racks, Official Powerlifting Competition Bench Press and Squat Rack, a unique Dead-ball Throwing Wall that absorbs the impact of medicine balls, a push and pull nylon Sled Track, and a variety of CV equipment, dumbbells and other training https://theathleteprogram.com/buy-cheap-valium-online/ equipment.

Performance Ground is one of the UK’s first performance gyms to have 200 square metres of the very latest high technology energy absorbing GYMflor™ acoustic gym flooring. This specially designed floor reduces the energy of dropped weights by retaining the energy within the materials thereby reducing bounce, noise and vibration. Dr Vern Neville, founder of ESP Fitness, explained this further. “The challenge we were faced with at Performance Ground was to create a floor  that would completely dissipate noise and vibration, yet it had to be stiff enough to provide a stable surface for Elite level Olympic Lifting and Power Lifting. We used a customised version of our GYMflor™ IMPACT extreme which is an extremely effective flooring system designed to reduce energy and minimise the effects of dropped weights on the sub-floor and building structure. This system is particularly effective in steel structured buildings across the city and has played a crucial part in enabling Ioanna to create such a unique gym.”

Performance Ground had a number of top athletes present on the opening day, including ESP Fitness ambassador Stefan Terblanche who has played more first-class professional rugby games than any other player in history.

This is the first athlete centred high performance training gym in London and for anyone with a competitive edge, a love for sport and a passion for performance, this really is the place to super-charge your inner Champion.
