ESP Fitness fits new Flooring and Lifting Platforms at The FA’s National Football Centre

ESP Fitness was selected by The FA to fit 7,000ft2 high performance acoustic gym flooring and 6 flush fitted Weight Lifting Platforms at the England Football National Performance Centre at St. George’s Park. 

The existing gym floor was a raised batton flooring system which had failed in a number of areas where dropped dumbbells and weights had broken through the floor panels. The FA consulted with a number of different sports flooring suppliers and after a rigorous selection process of testing different flooring samples, they appointed ESP Fitness to replace the existing gym flooring with ESP’s GYMflor™ IMPACT extreme3 and ESP’s world renown Lifting Platforms.

The installation took 9 flooring technicians, 10 days to complete and included 4 layers of energy absorbing materials in the dumbbell and freight areas, and 7 layers of highly specialised energy absorbing materials and urethanes in the weight lifting drop areas. 

ESP also designed and fitted 2 seamless flush fitted ground reaction force plate trays with underfloor cabling.
